Thursday of the Ninth Week in Ordinary Time
Morning Offering:
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works,
joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in
union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the
salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, and the reunion of all Christians. In
particular, we offer up the intentions of the Holy Father this month that
migrants fleeing from war or hunger, forced to undertake journeys full of
danger and violence, find welcome and new opportunities in the countries that
receive them. Amen
Daily Prayer:
The secret joy of Christianity, O God, is not just loving You with all our hearts
and souls and minds, and our neighbors as ourselves. The sustaining secret of
our faith, Lord, is the reality of Your all-encompassing, gratuitous love. It is the
recognition and acceptance of this love, a love not earned but graciously given,
that gives us the energy to follow Your commands. Amen
