Wednesday of the Eleventh Week in Ordinary Time
Morning Offering:
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works,
joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in
union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the
salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, and the reunion of all Christians. In
particular, we offer up the intentions of the Holy Father this month that
migrants fleeing from war or hunger, forced to undertake journeys full of
danger and violence, find welcome and new opportunities in the countries that
receive them. Amen
Daily Prayer:
God of power and mercy, before you took Elijah, Elisha asked that he feel the
working of Your Holy Spirit in his heart. Through the power of the Spirit, the fire
of God’s love was present to Elijah and to the Disciples, and that same power of
the Spirit is present to us if we do not extinguish it. Grant that we may respond
willingly to the movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives, the Spirit of love and
compassion, of mercy and forgiveness. May we follow where the Holy Spirit
leads, that we may serve You with all our heart. Amen
