Daily Prayer 5/1

Fourth Monday of Easter
Feast of St. Joseph the Worker

Morning Offering:

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father this month that Church movements and groups may rediscover their mission of evangelization each day, placing their own charisms at the service of needs in the world. Amen

Daily Prayer:

Jesus, Your guardian, Joseph, taught You a trade and labored beside You in a carpenter shop. Through the intercession of St. Joseph, the patron saint of laborers, provide safe, meaningful and life-sustaining employment for all. Give us a respect for work and the worker, dear Savior, and let us understand that work is a continuation of the process of creation. Amen

This Week the Oblates in Canada are Praying for You

One of these Oblates in Bro. Daniel Dionne, OMI. Brother Daniel works to address the needs of the poor – providing food, clothing and medical care. Recently he has increased his outreach efforts to provide for the needs of people struggling with mental illness.

Take the Next Step to Strengthen Your Prayer Life

We all could use some healing in our life. And prayer is the best way for us to communicate our needs with God.

Healing Prayers is a wonderful prayer book created by the Missionary Oblates for all those who long for the healing power of the Lord. For these persons, this prayer book has been written in faith and hope that, united in prayer, we might all experience healing of body, mind and spirit in every aspect of our lives.
