Daily Prayer 12/26

Feast of Saint Stephen, First Martyr

Morning Offering:

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians. We pray in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father that people living with disabilities may be at the center of attention in society, and that institutions may offer inclusive programs which value their active participation. Amen

Daily Prayer:

Lord, today we celebrate the Feast of St. Stephen, the first martyr. In Your goodness, You filled him with wisdom and the Holy Spirit. You granted him the courage to speak hard truths to stubborn people. In the end, he gave up his life because of his love for You and Your people. We pray today for the wisdom and courage of Stephen. We pray as well for the patience to hear those who tell us difficult truths because of love. Amen
