Wednesday of the First Week in Ordinary Time
Morning Offering:
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians. In particular, we offer up the intentions of the Holy Father this month, that the Holy Spirit may help us to recognize the gift of different charisms within the Christian community and to discover the richness of different traditions and rituals in the Catholic Church. Amen
Daily Prayer:
God Most High, forgive us if we spend too much time talking to You and not enough time listening to You. Softly lead us to silence so we hear Your Word. Open our hearts and still our minds when we start to think too much and feel too little. Give us the grace to understand that knowing You is experiencing Your unconditional love. Like Samuel, we say, “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.” Amen
