Morning Offering
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father this month. Amen

The Baptism of the Lord
Almighty, eternal God, when the Spirit descended upon Jesus at His baptism in the Jordan You revealed Him as Your own beloved Son. Keep us, Your children born of water and the Spirit, faithful to our calling. Amen.
Matthew 3:13-17
Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan
to be baptized by him.
John tried to prevent him, saying,
“I need to be baptized by you,
and yet you are coming to me?”
Jesus said to him in reply,
“Allow it now, for thus it is fitting for us
to fulfill all righteousness.”
Then he allowed him.
After Jesus was baptized,
he came up from the water and behold,
the heavens were opened for him,
and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove
and coming upon him.
And a voice came from the heavens, saying,
“This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

El Bautismo del Señor
Dios todopoderoso y eterno, cuando el Espíritu descendió sobre Jesús en su bautismo en el Jordán Tú lo revelaste como Tu propio Hijo amado. Guárdanos a nosotros, Tus hijos nacidos del agua y del Espíritu, fieles a nuestra vocación. Amén.

En aquel tiempo, Jesús llegó de Galilea al río Jordán y le pidió a Juan que lo bautizara. Pero Juan se resistía, diciendo: “Yo soy quien debe ser bautizado por ti, ¿y tú vienes a que yo te bautice?” Jesús le respondió: “Haz ahora lo que te digo, porque es necesario que así cumplamos todo lo que Dios quiere”. Entonces Juan accedió a bautizarlo.
Al salir Jesús del agua, una vez bautizado, se le abrieron los cielos y vio al Espíritu de Dios, que descendía sobre él en forma de paloma y oyó una voz que decía desde el cielo: “Éste es mi Hijo muy amado, en quien tengo mis complacencias”.

You are being prayed for at Phuoc Tin Parish in the southern Binh Phuoc province. The Oblates were given responsibility of this parish in 2017, the first Oblate parish in Vietnam. The parish has an estimated 1,300 Catholic parishioners.
