Daily Prayer 4/17

Second Monday of Easter

Morning Offering:

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father this month for the spread of peace and non-violence, by decreasing the use of weapons by states and citizens. Amen

Daily Prayer:

Dearest God, Your Spirit leaves many traces of Your presence – sudden joy emanating from our souls, or fresh hope from within our hearts. In fact, O God, as long as there is hope within our hearts, we will experience the Spirit, whether we are aware of the Spirit or not. Amen

This week the Oblates in Canada are praying for you.

One place you are being prayed for is at St. Patrick Church in Hamilton. In 2012 parishioners created the De Mazenod Door Outreach Program to provide sustenance for anyone who came knocking at the church door. In the early days of the outreach program, meals were prepared for a few dozen visitors. Today more than 400 meals can be served in a single day by volunteers who last year totaled more than 22,000 volunteer hours.

Take the next step to strengthen your prayer life

We all could use some healing in our life. And prayer is the best way for us to communicate our needs with God.

Healing Prayers is a wonderful prayer book created by the Missionary Oblates for all those who long for the healing power of the Lord. For these persons, this prayer book has been written in faith and hope that, united in prayer, we might all experience healing of body, mind and spirit in every aspect of our lives.
