Daily Prayer 12/3

First Sunday of Advent

Morning Offering:

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians. We pray in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father that people living with disabilities may be at the center of attention in society, and that institutions may offer inclusive programs which value their active participation. Amen

Daily Prayer:

Heavenly Father, eye has not seen, ear has not heard what You have prepared for those who love You. As we begin this season of Advent, help us to live each day believing that You are truly with us in all that we do and in everyone we meet. Amen

We also celebrate this day the feast of St. Francis Xavier, patron of foreign missions. Help us to learn from his example, reaching out to strangers in God’s name. Just as the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate go wherever to whoever most needs their help, guide me to keep my heart open and reach out to strangers in God’s name.

Take the Next Step to Strengthen Your Prayer Life

We all could use some healing in our life. And prayer is the best way for us to communicate our needs with God.

Healing Prayers is a wonderful prayer book created by the Missionary Oblates for all those who long for the healing power of the Lord. For these persons, this prayer book has been written in faith and hope that, united in prayer, we might all experience healing of body, mind and spirit in every aspect of our lives.
