Daily Prayer 10/17

Memorial of St. Ignatius of Antioch, Bishop and Martyr

Morning Offering:

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians. We pray for the Church, that she may adopt listening and dialogue as a lifestyle at every level, and allow herself to be guided by the Holy Spirit towards the peripheries of the world. Amen

Daily Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us holy persons like St. Ignatius, whose
unfaltering love and devotion to You teaches us how we, too, should live.

No earthly pleasures, no kingdoms of this world can benefit me in any way. I
prefer death in Christ Jesus to power over the farthest limits of the earth. He
who died in place of us is the one object of my quest. He who rose for our sakes
is my one desire. Do not talk about Jesus Christ as long as you love this world.
Amen
