Memorial of Saint Athanasius, Bishop and Doctor of the Church
Morning Offering:
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works,
joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in
union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the
salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians. In
particular, we offer up the intentions of the Holy Father this month for the
formation of religious and seminarians. We pray that religious women and
men, and seminarians, grow in their own vocations through their human,
pastoral, spiritual and community formation, leading them to be credible
witnesses to the gospel. Amen
Daily Prayer:
Almighty ever-living God, You raised up the Bishop St. Athanasius as an
outstanding champion of Your Son’s divinity. Rejoicing in St. Athanasius’
teaching and his protection, grant that we may never cease to grow in our
knowledge and love of You. May our faith be as firm and steadfast as St.
Athanasius. Help us follow his example as a “true pillar of the Church.” Amen
