Friday of the Fifth Week in Ordinary Time
Morning Offering:
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians. In particular, we offer up the intentions of the Holy Father this month, that those with a terminal illness, and their families, receive the necessary physical and spiritual care and accompaniment. Amen
Daily Prayer:
Truly, God, the soul is not made for noise. The ears of the soul are made for Your gentle whispers and soft murmurs in the quiet of our hearts where You reside. Yet our senses, Lord, are battered continuously by the chaos of mass media. Lead us to close down our outer senses and withdraw to that quiet place so that we may hear Your voice deep within our being and respond to Your call. Amen
