Daily Prayer and Reading 1/21

Morning Offering

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father this month. Amen

Feast of St. Agnes

Lord God, today I remember St. Agnes who hated sin more than she hated death. When I find myself complaining about my bills, remind me to be grateful that I have a home I can pay for. When I am distraught about my weight, help me give thanks for having enough to eat. When I complain about the cold January weather, let me be thankful that I have a coat and gloves to wear. Help me also to remember to share the blessings I have been given with those who are in need. Amen.

Mark 3: 20-21

Jesus came with his disciples into the house.
Again the crowd gathered,
making it impossible for them even to eat.
When his relatives heard of this they set out to seize him,
for they said, “He is out of his mind.”
